GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an Acoustic Engineer/Project Manager to help grow our established Noise and Acoustics practice. This position is hybrid and will be located in our Fairfield, NJ or Manhattan, NY office location but will collaborate with GZA employees across the country. There is potential for this position to be located in another GZA office for the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Working on environmental acoustics projects including renewable energy, affordable housing, schools, transportation, power distribution and storage, data centers, and much more.
- Field work, modeling, testing, and reporting
- Pre and Post Construction
- Working on environmental impact studies, under CEQR, NYS SEQRA, and NEPA projects, including mobile source and stationary noise sources, ambient noise impact analysis on new development, project generated noise analysis.
- Interacting with clients, providing professional solutions, and expanding business opportunities.
- Collaborating with GZA’s current noise and acoustics practice leaders on expanding our market presence across the country.
- Mentoring and training other staff.
- Creating tools and software for acoustic analyses.
- GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities.
What You Will Be Bringing:
- Strong leadership and project management experience.
- Direct business development experience with the ability to generate project leads and build client relationships.
- Environmental acoustic modeling experience (CadnaA).
- Extensive noise measurement experience.
- Interior acoustics experience such as sound isolation testing, impact isolation testing, reverberation testing, etc.
- Technical writing skills.
- Ability to write software is a plus.
- 5-10 years of acoustic experience.
- INCE Bd or PE preferred but not required.
Experience With the Following is Plus:
- Analyzing development impact under local/state noise ordinances.
- Working on environmental impact studies, for CEQR, NYS SEQRA, and NEPA, including mobile source and stationary noise sources, ambient noise impact analysis on new development, project generated noise analysis.
- Construction impact analysis.
- E-designation work under NYC OER.
The base salary for this position may range between $100,000.00 to $130,000.00. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
