Diesel Mechanic / Truck & Trailer Technician

Gypsum Express, Ltd. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Truck & Trailer Technician for our Carrollton, KY facility. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trucks and trailers to ensure safe, DOT-compliant operation—both on-site and at off-site service locations when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair trucks and trailers following company and DOT standards
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain equipment in compliance with DOT regulations
- Complete repairs efficiently to support fleet uptime and customer needs
- Follow all safety policies, shop procedures, and plant regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations related to vehicle safety and inspections
- Hands-on experience repairing diesel trucks and trailers
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to climb, crawl, and work in/under vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Valid KY driver license
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Skills
- Prior fleet or heavy-duty truck maintenance experience
- Strong attention to detail and safety
