Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team on-site in Tallahassee, FL. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care by supporting physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners in clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with patient examinations, managing medical records, preparing and maintaining exam rooms, ensuring an efficient workflow in the medical office, and communicating with patients regarding their care. Additional duties include supporting clinical procedures and maintaining compliance with healthcare protocols and standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Medical Assisting and direct Patient Care, including the ability to assist physicians and other healthcare providers with clinical procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to ensure effective communication in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in managing tasks within a Medical Office, including scheduling, administrative duties, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
  • Knowledge of Medical Records management and related documentation protocols to uphold accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deliver compassionate and effective support to patients and a collaborative approach with medical teams.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is required. Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology or with prenatal care patients is a plus.
