Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will support our providers by delivering excellent patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring the efficient flow of daily operations. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients while obtaining and documenting vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures.
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized exam rooms.
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other clinical duties as permitted by training and certification.
- Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, imaging, and follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred or equivalent experience.
- Previous OB/GYN or Women's Health experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Phlebotomy and injection experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
