This role is less about individual deal-making and more about building the teams, systems, and processes that enable Gyde to identify high-value acquisition targets, nurture relationships, and generate a predictable pipeline of opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Deal Origination & Sourcing: Lead efforts to identify, prioritize, and engage acquisition targets, leveraging networks, intermediaries, and research to generate high-quality opportunities.
- Pipeline & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with target companies, brokers, and partners, ensuring a consistent flow of acquisition opportunities.
- Operational Excellence: Design and implement systems, processes, and metrics to track sourcing performance, manage deal flow, and optimize conversion from target identification to engagement.
- Team Leadership: Directly manage a team focused on sourcing, outreach, and relationship-building while serving as a key cross-functional leader collaborating with Marketing, Operations, and Strategy teams to ensure aligned execution.
- External Stakeholders: Serve as a point of contact for investors, consultants, and strategic partners, representing Gyde’s vision and approach to growth.
- 5–8 years of experience in private equity, LMM investing, corporate development, or other growth/sourcing-focused roles.
- Proven experience in deal origination, identifying acquisition targets, or leading sourcing initiatives.
- Strong management experience—able to build, coach, and lead a high-performing team.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills; comfortable engaging with C-level executives, owners, and intermediaries.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset; able to track KPIs, interpret results, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability; thrives in ambiguity and tackling complex challenges.
- Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus but not required.
