We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to support and maintain enterprise SAP landscapes, with a strong focus on Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations, cloud infrastructure, system migrations, performance optimization, and production support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP BASIS administration across S/4HANA, SAP HANA Database, SAP Fiori, Solution Manager, MDG, and AWS Cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA Implementation & Migration
- Lead SAP BASIS activities for Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Configure, and Administer SAP S/4HANA landscapes across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
- Execute SAP system installations, upgrades, refreshes, and client copies.
- Support various SAP migration methodologies, including:
- System Conversion (Brownfield)
- New Implementation (Greenfield)
- Landscape Transformation (Selective Data Transition)
- SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) with Database Migration Option (DMO)
- Unicode and HANA migrations
- Perform technical cutover planning and production go-live support.
SAP BASIS Administration
- Administer SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Gateway, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integrations.
- Perform kernel upgrades, Support Package Stack implementations, and SAP patch management.
- Manage Transport Management System (TMS), CTS , and ChaRM processes.
- Configure RFC connections, printers, background jobs, profiles, and system parameters.
- Perform client administration, system copies, and landscape refresh activities.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor and optimize SAP application and database performance.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks related to SAP HANA, operating systems, memory, CPU, and storage.
- Troubleshoot complex SAP BASIS issues involving application servers, databases, network connectivity, and integrations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor system health using SAP Solution Manager, EarlyWatch reports, and SAP monitoring tools.
SAP Fiori & SAP MDG Support
- Install, configure, and administer SAP Fiori Front-End Server and SAP Gateway.
- Configure Fiori Launchpad, OData services, catalogs, groups, and roles.
- Support SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) technical infrastructure and integrations.
- Troubleshoot Fiori application issues, authentication, and performance problems.
SAP Solution Manager
Administer SAP Solution Manager including:
- System Monitoring
- Technical Monitoring
- EarlyWatch Alerts
- ChaRM (Change Request Management)
- Root Cause Analysis
- System Recommendations
- Configure diagnostics agents and managed systems.
Security & Compliance
- Apply SAP Security Notes and system patches.
- Support SSL certificate management, SSO, SNC, and SAP authentication mechanisms.
- Perform Application hardening.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and audit requirements.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Collaborate with functional teams, developers, infrastructure, and project managers during implementations and production support.
- Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of SAP BASIS administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Strong experience with SAP migration methodologies including Greenfield, Brownfield, DMO, and System Conversion.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA Database, SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Experience supporting SAP landscapes hosted on AWS Cloud.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for SAP application and database environments.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and system replication.
- Active DoD Secret (or Top Secret, as applicable) security clearance required.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and/or maintain the required security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA System Administration.
- SAP HANA Administration certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Experience with SAP MDG, SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAProuter, and Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for SAP environments.
