This role sits at the intersection of private capital markets, advanced technology investment, and federal strategy execution. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis of private equity funds, venture capital structures, portfolio companies, and alternative investment strategies, including performance benchmarking and trend analysis.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and portfolio performance within critical and emerging technology sectors, including areas with commercial and defense relevance.
- Analyze fund performance metrics including IRR, MOIC, DPI, TVPI, PME, cash flow pacing, and portfolio attribution.
- Support the intake, diligence, and pipeline review process for potential investment opportunities by assessing financial, operational, and strategic considerations.
- Develop investment memoranda, performance reports, dashboards, and executive-level briefings for senior federal leadership and program stakeholders.
- Monitor market conditions, capital formation trends, and macroeconomic developments impacting private investment ecosystems and emerging technology markets.
- Support development and refinement of investment policies, reporting frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and governance processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal data systems, investment tracking tools, and workflow management processes.
- U.S. Citizenship required and will be verified in-person.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Public Policy, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in analyzing the performance of funds in one or more of the following: Private Credit, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Asset Management
- Strong understanding of private capital structures, investment lifecycle management, and fund performance evaluation methodologies.
- Experience building and interpreting complex financial models and investment performance analyses.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting/data visualization tools.
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment or strategic briefing materials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience supporting federal programs, public-private partnerships, or government investment initiatives.
- Familiarity with institutional investment reporting standards and portfolio analytics.
- Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
