Overview
We are a growing KB-1 General Dual Building Contractor seeking a motivated Construction Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Yuma, Arizona.
This role works directly with our Senior Project Manager and plays a key role in pre-construction planning, estimating, and proposal development. The position offers a clear growth path into Project Management as our company continues to expand.
You will work on commercial, industrial, and pre-engineered metal building projects, including warehouses, agricultural facilities, and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project estimates, bids, and proposals
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor pricing
- Support lead generation and new project opportunities
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager on pre-construction planning
- Develop project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and cost tracking
- Participate in site visits and project walkthroughs
This role will have input in project budgeting, bid strategy, subcontractor selection, and pre-construction planning.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in construction estimating or related role
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Knowledge of structural framing and metal building systems
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Leadership mindset and ability to collaborate with project teams
Candidates with construction experience in program management and project estimating are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred
- Experience working for a general contractor
- Familiarity with estimating software (Procore & Microsoft Office)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
