Position Summary
We are seeking a hands on, detail oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to provide essential support to our plant floor operations. This role is critical in ensuring production runs smoothly through timely maintenance, replenishment, and organization. The position involves general labor, basic facility upkeep, and proactive support of shop floor requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We are seeking a hands on, detail oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to provide essential support to our plant floor operations. This role is critical in ensuring production runs smoothly through timely maintenance, replenishment, and organization. The position involves general labor, basic facility upkeep, and proactive support of shop floor requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and company vehicle (training provided if not certified).
- Move and lift materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
- Organize and maintain shop inventory in an orderly fashion.
- Provide first-hand support to plant floor operations, including:
- Machine metal waste (chip) disposal.
- Machine coolant and oil waste recovery.
- Metal recycling for plant floor and machines.
- Machine oil and coolant replenishment and stocking.
- Collecting and washing shop towels and rags.
- Audit facility safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and eye wash stations.
- Maintain spray bottles, labels, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation.
- Support recycling and waste disposal efforts.
- Basic computer use for maintenance tracking and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate forklifts and company vehicles.
- Physical capability to lift 70 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking software and building systems.
- Good communication skills; able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on keeping production running efficiently.
