We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Jockey to join our team. The Yard Jockey will be responsible for efficiently moving trailers and equipment within our yard or facility, ensuring smooth and timely flow of operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe driving practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers to and from docks, parking areas, and staging locations.
- Position trailers at dock doors for loading and unloading.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of trailer locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse and shipping/receiving teams to meet schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate a forklift on a needed basis.
Requirements
- Previous yard jockey or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of safe trailer handling and backing techniques.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
