Job Description
The Program Leader will be designing, developing, planning, and implementing health and human services programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting with marketing assigned programs by speaking at events, distributing flyers, and writing newsletters. This incumbent will be developing goals and objectives and evaluating criteria for health and human services programs, as well as communicating program goals, successes, and challenges to stake holders.

Essential Duties
  • Coordinating outreach efforts to engage target populations 
  • Designing, developing, planning, and implementing community health or social service programs.
  • Setting measurable goals and objectives to measure program success
  • Assisting residents with questions and concerns regarding programs and provide resources and referrals
  • Maintaining records and other documentation regarding daily program activities and operations such as class registration, attendance records, deposits, and financial reports
  • Processing registrations, assessments, and financial transactions
  • Working closely with other departments and community partners
  • Promoting and encouraging community participation
Public Speaking Duties
  • Speaking at community meetings to raise awareness about program services, 
  • Educating the public on available resources, and providing information about classes and programs
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is grade B22(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
 
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services or a related field AND
  • one year of experience
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CPR within 6 months of employment
  • First Aid Certification within 6 months of employment
