Job Description
The Business Management Officer oversees the Human Resources and Payroll functions for Community Services and Parks & Recreation. The individual supervises full-time and part-time financial staff members and serves as a Human Resources liaison. The incumbent facilitates departmental training sessions.
Essential Duties
- Runs reports in SAP - such as position control and payroll
- Creates spreadsheets and reports
- Completes salary analyses
- Processes FMLA requests
- Monitors payroll and leave balances
- Processes paperwork for employee actions - such as new hire, promotions, demotions, transfers, separations
- Coordinates and conducts departmental orientation and training sessions
- Enters employee actions in SAP
- Processes employee evaluations
- Conducts departmental orientation and other training sessions in person and virtually.
The grade for this position is C41(1). Salary will be determined by promotional policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field; AND
- Two years of professional level of accounting experience;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Two years of payroll and/or data entry experience.
