POSITION SUMMARY
The Authority is currently recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator to join Georgia World Congress Center. The HRC is primarily responsible for executing the administrative tasks, duties and responsibilities to support The Authority’s Human Resources Management Strategy. The HRC coordinates with the Director of Human Resources on employment verifications, employee benefits, and employee wellness programs to enhance organizational performance and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources to facilitate employee verifications, employee offboarding, and records management.
- Provides administrative support to the human resource office as needed, including but not limited to record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entries.
- Communicates benefits to candidates during recruitment and new hires during onboarding; initiates enrollment.
- Coordinates annual open enrollment.
- Coordinates workers compensation process.
- Coordinates years of service recognition program with Director of Talent Development and Communications.
- Works with Talent Acquisition Coordinator to facilitate state employee transfers; reviews and files new employee documents and policy acknowledgements.
- Administers offboarding; communicates terminations as appropriate internally; process separation paperwork; notifies insurance broker to terminate benefits; communicates changes
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Processes mail.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Knowledge of human resources management practices and applicable laws.
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and relentless follow-up.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams to either influence or support a project or initiative.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills with a strategic logical approach.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-awareness.
- Thoroughness in task approach, follow up and completion.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field; experience may substitute for education
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of overall experience in Human Resources, preferably in a major convention, hospitality, or multi-purpose facility
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative support function
