Role Overview

As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of GWC Restoration in the field building relationships, generating leads, and helping property owners when they need us most. You’ll respond to new opportunities, meet with potential clients, assess their needs on-site, present tailored solutions, and close deals. Because many of our leads are referrals or inbound calls, this position focuses on relationship-building and responsiveness rather than cold calling.

This is the first hire for this type of position, so you’ll play a key role in developing the sales culture and process within the company. The right candidate will help shape how we grow our referral network and client relationships, with the potential to advance into a sales management or leadership role as the business expands.

Success in this role depends on your energy, professionalism, and ability to convert prospects into satisfied, long-term clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Respond promptly to inbound calls, online inquiries, and referral leads. Be available for on-site visits when customers need assistance (primarily during business hours, with some flexibility for evenings or weekends).
  • Meet with homeowners, business owners, and property managers to assess damages or project needs, explain our services, and secure agreements or work authorizations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral partners such as insurance agents, plumbers, contractors, property managers, and realtors to generate consistent, high-quality leads.
  • Develop and distribute marketing materials to referral sources and community partners, ensuring brand visibility and consistent messaging across your territory.
  • Regularly visit referral sources within your assigned North Alabama territory (Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur, and surrounding areas). Drop by offices, attend networking events, deliver marketing materials, and build rapport that leads to steady business.
  • Work closely with internal teams—Mitigation, Reconstruction, and Contents teams to ensure seamless hand-offs and outstanding customer experiences.
  • Track leads, follow up consistently, and maintain accurate records
  • Represent GWC Restoration professionally at community events, trade shows, and networking groups such as BNI or Chamber of Commerce meetings.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the company.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of outside or direct sales experience, preferably in home services, construction, or insurance-related industries.
  • Strong communication skills, confident and engaging presence, and the ability to connect with people face-to-face.
  • Willingness to be on call or available on short notice when opportunities arise.
  • Experience in restoration, remodeling, home systems, or insurance-based sales is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (use of personal vehicle required initially; company vehicle eligibility based on performance).
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule (minimum 40 hours/week) with flexibility for customer or networking needs.
  • A self-starter mindset with the motivation to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and close deals.
  • Professional appearance, integrity, and enthusiasm for helping people restore their homes and businesses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
