Accounts Payable Temp

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant to support our accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to gain hands-on experience in accounts payable and general office administration. This temporary role will assist with invoice processing, vendor communication, and other clerical tasks to help keep our accounting operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with printing, sorting, and matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system for payment.
• Help reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing or incorrect invoices.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment questions.
• Maintain organized digital and paper files for invoices and payments.
• Support the accounting team with check processing and mailing.
• Perform general office duties, including document scanning and mail distribution.
• Assist with other projects or administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• No prior accounting experience required, but basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel or other office software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Clear communication via phone and in person is required.
