About the Opportunity

GVM, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Field Service Technician who thrives on solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic challenges in real-world environments. This is more than a wrench-turning role — you’ll be a technical ambassador for a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment, supporting customers across the country with diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and training.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and Repair: Solve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and CAN-based electrical issues in both field and shop environments.
• Support Sales: Perform pre-sale inspections on new and used equipment, recommending and completing necessary repairs.
• Prevent Downtime: Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on customer equipment to maximize uptime.
• Be the Face of GVM: Deliver top-tier support with professionalism and technical expertise in customer-facing situations.
• Stay Sharp: Participate in service training and continuously expand your technical knowledge.
• Own the Work: Complete accurate documentation and service reports in a timely, organized manner.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with agricultural, industrial, or heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and CAN-bus diagnostics.
• Proficiency in MIG and arc welding, plus torch and plasma cutting techniques.
• Capability to troubleshoot and program system controllers.
• High energy, strong initiative, and a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 80%.
• Must provide and maintain your own set of tools.

Preferred Background

• Experience in the agriculture, fertilizer, or chemical handling industry.
• Familiarity with variable rate control, sprayer/spreader systems, and ag-tech products.
