You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving and weighing-in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavors. Day to day you will:Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with the GYG Recipe Guide and procedures Operate kitchen equipment including grill, stove, fryer, oven, rice cookers and dicerEnsure 100% food quality and safety at all timesComplete daily checklists to facilitate correct and prompt opening, shift change and closing of the kitchenComplete all other checklists/reports (such as cleaning, wastage sheet) as requiredManage line food levels - we need to ensure that all menu items are available to customers at all times!Check delivery quantities, weights, case counts, prices and volumes, and report any discrepancies to the Head Cook or restaurant managementWhat are the perks and benefits of working at Guzman y Gomez?Free meal on shift and 50% off when you're not on shift401k with up to 6% company match Health, vision and dental insurance (for those working 30 hours per week)Comprehensive culinary training providedCrew referral program - if you successfully refer a friend or family member for a job at GYG, we'll pay you $200!
