Job Summary: Senior Level Civil Engineer
The engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing various civil engineering projects, including commercial developments, flood protection plans, sewer and water system improvements, and residential subdivision infrastructure. The candidate should be familiar with local government and state agency requirements and be able to deliver projects in strict accordance with set specifications and requirements of municipal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Development Design: Lead the engineering efforts for large-scale commercial developments, ensuring the design of pavement, utility lines, drainage systems, and other essential infrastructure.
2. Flood Protection Planning: Design and implement flood protection plans, including temporary controls, by agency specifications. Familiarity with USIBWC, TWDB, USDA, Bureau of Reclamation, TxDot, and other funding agencies requirements is an advantage.
3. Sewer and Water System Improvements: Oversee the design and execution of the construction of water and sewer system municipal projects including plants, lift stations, and water/sewer system projects.
4. Residential Subdivision Infrastructure: Lead the design of essential infrastructure for residential subdivisions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
· Valid professional engineering license (P.E.) in the State of Texas.
· Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on project leadership.
· Demonstrated experience in adhering to local government and state agency requirements.
· Membership in professional affiliations like the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Water Works Association is a plus.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
