Vice president of Business Development
Guzhuna Asset Management is seeking an accomplished professional within the wealth management industry to support the firm’s strategic expansion and advisor engagement initiatives.
As an independent fiduciary advisory firm, Guzhuna Asset Management provides clients and advisors with access to institutional-quality investment strategies and sophisticated wealth planning capabilities. The firm works alongside advisors and their clients to address a wide spectrum of planning needs—from foundational wealth structuring considerations to advanced estate, tax, and investment strategies.
This role will focus on cultivating relationships across the advisor community, supporting the firm’s long-term growth initiatives, and helping to further develop the platform available to advisors and their clients.
The ideal candidate will possess deep familiarity with the wealth management ecosystem and the ability to build enduring relationships with experienced advisors and industry professionals.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the firm’s strategic growth initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand the advisor community and strengthen the firm’s presence within the broader wealth management landscape.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop initiatives that enhance the firm’s platform and long-term growth trajectory.
- Contribute to the development of programs and initiatives designed to broaden the firm’s reach among experienced advisors and advisory teams.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for advisors seeking to better understand the firm’s platform and capabilities.
- Communicate the firm’s value proposition, including its independent fiduciary model, institutional investment access, and advanced planning resources.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with financial advisors and industry professionals to foster collaboration and growth.
- Partner with internal teams across investments, compliance, and operations to ensure a seamless advisor experience.
- Support the continued development of the firm’s advisor platform, ensuring it remains responsive to the needs of sophisticated advisory practices.
- Assist with initiatives designed to enhance advisor engagement and client outcomes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of trends within the wealth management industry, including developments across independent advisory platforms, broker-dealers, and large financial institutions.
- Provide insights that help inform the firm’s strategic positioning and long-term growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of the wealth management landscape, including RIAs, independent broker-dealers, and large advisory platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with experienced financial advisors and industry professionals.
- Active Series 7, Series 63, Series 65 and a clean U4.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree or professional designation such as JD, CPA, CFP®, or MBA preferred.
- Experience working with advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
