What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Roofing QC Inspector/Safety Coordinator position at Guy Roofing?
Guy Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Quality Control & Safety Inspector to oversee the ongoing quality and completion of Commercial Flat and Shingle Roofing systems. This role is critical to ensuring our projects meet or exceed contractual obligations, manufacturer specifications, and OSHA standards while reinforcing Guy Roofing’s strong culture of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Travel is required.
Responsibilities:
- Visit and oversee job sites to ensure beginning, interim, and final quality control and jobsite safety compliance with manufacturer specifications and OSHA standards
- Conduct short or extended site visits as required
- Inspect equipment, materials, and job sites to ensure compliance with Guy Roofing and industry safety standards
- Perform final inspections to confirm quality completion of roofing projects
- Communicate professionally with customers as needed and address concerns promptly
- Identify, document, and report issues using written reports and photographs
- Purchase building and safety supplies as needed
- Close out jobs with final QC inspections, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Ensure removal of materials and miscellaneous items from job sites upon completion
- Enforce and work within all required safety guidelines
- Identify areas for safety improvement and implement corrective actions
- Implement safety procedures to reduce or eliminate jobsite risks
- Conduct safety training sessions for new and existing Guy Roofing employees
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, scanning, copying, and documentation
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and professional personal presentation
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in Roofing Systems Quality Control
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations preferred
Language Skills:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- Spanish proficiency preferred
