Field Safety Coordinator

70% field / 30% office.

Position Overview

This position is based at Guy M. Turner, Inc.'s main office in Greensboro, NC. Applicants must reside within a 30-minute (max) commute of the Greensboro office. The Field Safety Coordinator at Guy M Turner Inc will support Guy M. Turner, Inc. by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations. This role is primarily field-based, working alongside crews at customer jobsites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform jobsite safety inspections focused to ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance
• Conduct jobsite observations to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with accident investigations and incident documentation (as needed)
• Assist in managing cargo and equipment damage claims
• Organize and maintain safety training records and documentation
• Support safety-related projects and initiatives as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• OSHA knowledge (a plus)
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in transportation, construction, safety, or industrial training
• Degree preferred; but, will accept related work experience
