Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation or food industry tasks as needed
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant hosting, or serving roles with a focus on guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems for reservations and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with fine dining or nightclub environments is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be an advantage for supporting food prep tasks
