$10,000 Starting Bonus! Guthrie is seeking an Optometrist to join our robust team in Sayre, PA!
Highlights of the Position
- Well established Specialty Eye Care Clinic in Sayre, PA reaching patients in a 12-county region in both North Central PA and the Southern Tier of NY
- Guthrie's Department of Ophthalmology is a highly successful, dynamic, and growing multi-specialty group with 16 Optometrists and 11 Ophthalmologists Cataract/Comprehensive as well as subspecialists in Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea, Ocular Pathology, and Oculoplastics
- Our highly trained Optometrists practice to the fullest scope of their licensure with their own medical and primary patient base and work closely with our ophthalmologist co-managing both surgical and medical patients.
- Position will be allocated 3 exam rooms
- Diagnostic testing includes Visual Fields, OCT, Fundus and Slit Lamp Photography and Topography – dedicated diagnostic staff support ancillary testing.
- Position is supported by ophthalmic assistants who will provide patient work ups, scribe and assist with practice.
- Weekly hours of Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- No call requirement
- $10,000 Starting Bonus!

- Allowance for licensure fees Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and renewals
- $15,000 referral bonus if you refer a physician that we hire on a full-time basis

- Teaching opportunities - Guthrie's 12 residency and fellowship programs offer the opportunity for clinical academic appointments. The successful candidate also has the potential to participate in medical student education. Guthrie is a regional campus for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
