What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVP-Chief Financial Officer position at Guthrie?
Position Summary:
As a member of the senior leadership team, TGC CFO is responsible for effective participation and oversight in the strategic and financial planning and general direction of The Guthrie Clinic. TGC CFO is also responsible for the overall leadership and direction for the financial strategy and financial operations of The Guthrie Clinic.
Education, License & Cert:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required. MBA degree and/or CPA required.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years demonstrated progressive leadership and/or management experience in senior healthcare related finance position required.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide overall leadership and direction for the financial strategy of The Guthrie Clinic and all subsidiary and affiliated companies ensuring that adequate capital resources are available to meet current and future needs of the system.
2. Responsible for reporting the financial performance of TGC to the Guthrie Clinic Board, Physician Management Council, TGC Finance Committee, TGC Audit Committee and Guthrie’s management team.
3. Responsible for the preparation and oversight of the annual capital and operating budgets of TGC and entities as well as periodic mid‐ year forecasts and projections.
4. Responsible for the development and execution of multi‐ year financial plans in conjunction with Strategic plan updates
5. Responsible for all treasury functions including the overall investment program, cash management and debt issuance/debt compliance matters including quarterly reporting to the Investment sub‐ committee of TGC
6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a sound system of internal controls to protect the assets of TGC and assure fair and accurate financial reporting
7. Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with lending institutions, investment bankers, investment consultants, investment managers, rating agencies, insurance brokers and carriers, industry advocacy groups, health insurance payers and external auditors.
8. Provides administrative oversight and coordination for TGC risk financing activities including insurance coverage and contracting for all coverage types such as D&O, professional liability, general liability, property, worker compensation.
9. Responsible for the oversight of all third party payer contracting. Provide oversight for all revenue cycle activities and functions for the operating entities
10. Responsible for periodic and annual regulatory reporting of financial matters related to cost reports, tax returns etc.
11. Direct reports include the SVP Finance, SVP Supply Chain, VP Revenue Cycle, VP Managed Care, AVP Treasurer and the Sr. Director Insurance.
