Highlights of the Position
- Practice at Robert Packer Hospital, a 254-bed tertiary referral center and the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.
- Join Sayre General Surgery, an established multispecialty surgical clinic that includes two colorectal surgeons, a colorectal/general surgery APP, general surgeons, surgical oncology, hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery, and breast surgery.
- Clinical scope can include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, benign anorectal disease, pelvic floor and fecal incontinence care, endoscopy, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
- Collaborate closely with Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and other specialists in Guthrie’s multidisciplinary cancer program.
- Leverage Robert Packer Hospital and the RPH Endoscopy Center as part of an integrated regional referral model.
- Help expand access to high-quality colorectal care across northern Pennsylvania and southern New York.

- MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery required.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania; New York eligibility is preferred given Guthrie’s regional footprint.
- Strong interest in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, endoscopy, and multidisciplinary oncologic care.
