Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate orders for food and beverages, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
- Mix, garnish, and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic beverages following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop beverage recipes and suggest pairings to enhance guest experiences; stay current with industry trends like mixology techniques.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management while providing attentive customer service.
- Assist in food service operations during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing payments and giving accurate change.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless restaurant operations and uphold a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments.
- Demonstrated cocktail experience with knowledge of spirits, beverage recipe development, and mixology techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs professionally.
- Experience working in retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, beverage pairing principles, and craft beer trends is highly desirable.
- Prior bartending or server experience in banquet settings or catering environments is a plus.
