What are the responsibilities and job description for the Console Operator II position at Gus Perdikakis Associates?
Console Operators will be responsible for monitoring electronic security systems involving alarm panels, intrusion detection, video cameras, badge verification, and general access control. In addition, Operators will also be tasked with providing gate access and associated validation, receiving and reacting to large call volume, regulatory requirements, and maintaining enterprise situational awareness.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology and 3 years of related experience or high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center with physical access control systems, 911 Dispatcher capacity or Law Enforcement
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality, stay calm in stressful situations
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Ensuring the safety of employees and property by monitoring and responding to alarms.
- Maintain accurate accounts of events, create reports, gain detailed information and answer questions.
- Perform data entry in multiple databases.
- Follow established procedures.
- Assist in general administrative work
- Perform basic investigative functions to include video review, follow up interviews and report writing.
- Use mass notification tool, Corporate Communication notifications, incident management notifications, delegated shift administrative duties.
