Residential and Commercial Pest Control Technician

We're looking to add another Pest Control Specialist to our team!

Gus Lopez Pest Control is a family-owned business, and has been servicing customers for over 16 years. Gus started this company believing that he could do a better job for the customers than the larger companies could. He successfully built a business from nothing, knowing that as the sole employee, he needed to put his CUSTOMERS' satisfaction first. He successfully accomplished his goals and retired. After working with him for years on both the technician side and the managerial side, I ended up buying the company from my Dad to continue serving our happy customers. Under my leadership, we have continued to serve our customers through the global pandemic, and will continue to do so sustainably.

A typical day for our Pest Control Technicians might include:

• Inspecting work vehicles for basic safety and functionality prior to the start of the day.
• Mixing pesticides and loading equipment into a company service vehicle
• Visiting customers to administer treatments, install preventative products and/or service bait/stations
• Collecting payments from customers and using your smartphone along with certain apps, to document services accurately.
• Completing termite inspections and recommending solutions for pest/termite problems
• Visiting a customer to remedy a complaint or service issue
• Contacting customers to schedule service
• Prospecting for new business leads
• Sometimes, Saturday and evening work is required

What do you need to qualify?

• At the moment with a banner year in growth, an experienced pest control technician is preferred!
• We are also excited to be able to train the right person with no pest control experience from the ground up! Have previous pest control experience?
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent Communication Skills
• A Great Attitude and Work Ethic: You are the face of the company, and are trusted with making sure that our customers have a positive experience every time you visit them.
• The flexibility to adapt to changing work procedures, we are constantly testing, learning and adapting new techniques into our services.
• The ability to pass a Drug Test, Criminal Background check and Driving Record
• The ability to speak Spanish is greatly sought after but not required. This would be positively considered when discussing salary.
