The Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 5-star, 460-bed facility providing services for short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care, home care programs, a ventilator dependent care, palliative and hospice care, a new Memory Care Unit and on-site dialysis. The Gurwin Family of Healthcare Services also includes the 201-apartment Gurwin Jewish~ Fay J. Lindner Residences assisted living community, and Fountaingate Gardens independent living community located on the Commack campus.

Our Assisted Living Community is currently seeking a per diem Recreation Aide who will embody the passion and commitment required to continue our reputation of providing the gold standard of excellence in assisted living.
RECREATION AIDE -Per Diem
Weekend shifts - 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
The Recreation Aide will implement the daily activities and programs as set forth by the Director of Recreation and have the ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Our ideal candidate must possess a special interest in and have a positive attitude about working with the elderly and adhere to the highest level of customer service for our seniors that call Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences "Home".
Our ideal candidate should have one-year prior experience working with an adult population in Recreation in a healthcare setting.
Assistive Living experience is preferred.
In addition; specialization in areas such as music, art, arts & crafts, and dance may be required.
