What You'll Do:
As the Assistant Director of Resident Services, you will lead our Wellness Department and ensure that residents receive the highest standard of care. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and managing all personal care services and staff within the Wellness Department
Collaborating with Case Managers to create and support individualized service plans for residents
Developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards of care in compliance with Department of Health regulations
Hiring, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating Wellness team staff
Ensuring effective communication with residents' families regarding health and behavioral updates
Coordinating necessary medical services including medication administration, physician visits, and ancillary care
Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring all departmental logs and forms are completed and compliant
Introducing innovative programs and cost-effective initiatives to enhance community wellness and service quality
Promoting a culture of safety for both residents and staff through proactive measures and recommendations
What You Bring:
Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Prior supervisory experience and proven leadership in geriatric nursing
Strong knowledge of assisted living and Department of Health regulations
First Aid certification
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
A resident-centered mindset, with compassion, patience, and a commitment to dignity and respect
Experience in Assisted Living settings strongly preferred
