Overview
Join our team as a Field CAD Technician and provide on-site CAD drafting and data support for innovative construction projects. In this field-based role, you will collect and process field data, create accurate CAD drawings and models, and support project documentation and invoicing needs across the company.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and adaptable—able to follow direction, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a team-first mindset and attention to detail.
Duties
- Communicate with crew foreman, supervisors, and managers to ensure familiarity with work performed and completed on job sites.
- Measure out completed pipeline jobs for as-laid (as-built) sketches.
- Gather, organize, review, create CAD drawings, and transform field data into invoice format.
- Review crew production dailies to ensure all billable line items are captured for invoicing.
- Review material issues and identify billable materials to be added to invoices.
- Prepare invoices and enter data in our customer’s database for invoicing approval.
- Send invoices to the accounting department for billing items approved for invoicing by the customer.
- Create CAD drawings for commercial services entered into customer’s database by New Business Administrator.
- Perform unexpected tasks as needed to ensure flow of revenue is uninterrupted.

Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of CAD experience
Preferred Qualifications
- TurboCAD experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Prior experience working on active construction jobsites
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.49 - $29.50 per hour
