Full-Time Veterinary Technician
Gunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced veterinary technician to join our team in our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in the most beautiful region of Colorado. We have digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, full in-house lab equipment, and computerized medical records. We are a growing, 2.5 doctor practice in the charming town of Gunnison, Colorado – a mecca for an outdoor enthusiast! We are located just 28 miles from the beautiful Crested Butte ski area and a few minutes’ drive to the Hartman Rocks Recreation Area that possesses over 8,000 acres of land that is perfect for mountain bikes, dirt bikes, climbing, atvs, hiking, trail running, camping, and more. Job Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, educate clients, and maximize productivity and flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, monitor anesthesia, perform dental prophies, digital radiographs
- Provide clear client communication regarding Dr. recommendations, medications, treatments, discharge instructions
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive health history from clients with the support of Avimark software
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements:
- Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred but will consider experienced technician
- Experience with AVIMark software preferred but will train the right candidate
- Occasional On Call/Weekend shifts may be required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
