Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: Must be a high school graduate or hold equivalent certification. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
- Experience: Surgical Tech I: No Experience
Surgical Tech II: One year of Surgical Tech experience required.
- Licenses/Certification: Certification in Surgical Technology and Central Sterile is encouraged. Current BLS required
Responsibilities:
We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and services. As part of the team in the Surgery Department you will:
- Assemble required supplies, instruments, and equipment for operative and invasive procedures
- Prepare, organize, and maintain a sterile field; anticipate and respond to surgical team needs.
- Assist with sterile draping and provide sterile instruments, supplies, and sterile dressings during procedures.
- Support room turnover by assisting with post-procedure cleaning and preparing the room for the next patient.
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment; transport items to and from designated decontamination/processing areas.
- Operate sterile processing equipment safely and per manufacturer instructions.
- Monitor, interpret, and document physical, chemical, and biological indicators for sterilizers used in the department.
- Follow infection prevention practices, Standard Precautions, and all safety policies when handling sharps, blood/body fluids, chemicals, and equipment.
- Delegate appropriately and participate in teamwork, quality improvement, and required competency maintenance.
- Participates in orientation, ongoing education, emergency preparedness, and role-related professional development.

Compensation: $28.64 - $38.59/hr, depending on experience.
