Who we are: GCEA is a small, non-profit, member-owned rural electric cooperative. Located in the beautiful Gunnison Valley in the Southwest part of Colorado. GCEA serves portions of Gunnison, Hinsdale, and Saguache Counties including the mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado. This is a full-time position that will be reporting to the Gunnison, Colorado Headquarters. This position is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely administration and processing of accounts payable, materials and inventory accounting, and other assigned accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and established accounting procedures while ensuring adherence to proper internal controls.
Educational Requirements:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Relevant accounting experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 (two) years of accounting or other related experience with associate (2 year) degree.
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of accounting or other related experience with bachelors (4 year) degree.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,395.00 - $87,202.00 per year
