Description:
  • This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000/year

Work location: Hybrid, primarily remote with ad hoc on-site work, frequency TBD.

This position serves as a Gunnison employee in support of a federal cybersecurity operations support contract. Join our exceptional group of cybersecurity pros!

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and support SIEM solutions and data pipeline architectures in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud).
  • Develop, configure, and maintain data collection, routing, filtering, and transformation tools for cybersecurity operations.
  • Utilize scripting skills in JavaScript and Python to automate processes and develop tools for security enhancements.
  • Create and maintain complex queries using SPL (Splunk) or SQL to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Communicate intricate security concepts effectively to technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks including FISMA, NIST, and CDM.
Requirements:
  • 7 years of relevant experience required, 10 years preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge, skills, and experience to understand and maintain automated or manual tools to identify weaknesses, such as misconfigurations, missing patches, and other security flaws, that could expose the applications to cyberattacks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field “preferred”
  • Experience Operating web vulnerability assessment tools, and analyzing and interpreting results
  • Experience Securing web application platforms, such as Python, PHP, Java/JavaScript, C#, SQL
  • Experience Prioritizing findings or settings for SMEs to focus on addressing the most dangerous vulnerabilities first
  • Experience with Content development such as reporting and dashboards for vulnerability remediation analysis, status, and tracking
  • Relevant professional cybersecurity certification (e.g., CySA , CISA, etc.)
  • US Citizenship

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.


The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
