Boston – Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate (Mid-Level)

We are looking for an associate to join our Strategic Transactions and Licensing group (“Tech Group”) in our Atlanta or Boston office. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the Atlanta and Boston offices, handle several matters with various clients concurrently, and have client contact from day one. The Tech Group collaborates with leading emerging companies, venture capital, and growth equity firms in the technology, AI, financial services, and consumer products sectors.

As a Tech Group Associate, You Will

• Run and interface with other groups on commercial matters (including business/product counseling and intellectual property and privacy matters).
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Work on and manage Tech Group matters in connection with financing transactions and buy-side and sell-side M&A.
  
  

We will consider strong candidates with significant experience in (1) strategic and/or commercial contracts drafting and negotiation and/or (2) deal management of the technology, commercial, and IP aspects of venture financing and/or M&A transactions, who are looking to expand their practice to include more holistic company counseling.

Job Requirements

• JD 2019-2021
• Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients
• Demonstrated experience in the following: (1) commercial contracts drafting and negotiation and/or (2) financing or M&A transactions
• A technical degree is not required
• Admission to the State Bar of Massachusetts or Georgia preferred
• Superior academic credentials from a top law school and excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Previous large law firm experience preferred
  
  

Salary Range

• $365,000 – $420,000
