Location: Heritage Building– 4th Floor | La Crosse, WI
FTE: 0.9 to 1.0 - your choice!; 72-80 hours per two weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About The Role
Join our growing Pulmonary Clinic team at a time of exciting expansion and innovation. As an RN in this role, you’ll support a highly collaborative pulmonary care team while gaining hands-on experience with evolving service lines including interventional pulmonology, specialty biologic medications, and emerging COPD and asthma programs.
This is a dynamic, clinic-based role ideal for nurses who enjoy variety, patient education, and both procedural and coordination of care responsibilities in a supportive, weekday-only environment.

What You’ll Do
- Perform telephone triage and patient assessments, including symptom evaluation, medication questions, and test result follow-up
- Triage new pulmonary consults and follow established standing orders and workflows
- Coordinate care for complex pulmonary and interventional procedures, including thoracentesis, chest drain removal/flushes, thoracoscopy, and COPD valve procedures
- Assist with minor in-clinic procedures and provide thorough patient education before and after interventions
- Coordinate education and care management for specialty biologic medications used in asthma and COPD treatment
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, support staff, internal departments, and external partners.
- Hands-on skill development: Exposure to advanced pulmonary procedures and specialty medications

What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in Nursing (minimum)
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- One year of RN experience
- Current Infant–Adult BLS for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving clinic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- 3-5 years of nursing experience
- Background in inpatient or acute care settings
- Experience with phone triage, patient assessment, and coordination of care
- Familiarity with Epic EMR and pulmonary disease processes
- Starting pay: $30.46/hour (plus experience credit)
