Gundersen Health System is looking for an RN to join the Pre Op!
This opportunity will allow you a variety of patient care experiences, work-life balance and to work with a great team!
What You Will Do
- 0.625 fte; 50 hours every two weeks
- Pre Op – Five 10-hour shifts per pay period, primarily 8:00am-6:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
- Hours may flex based on department need
- Approximately (1) weeknight call shift every 6 weeks from 7:00pm-11:00pm. Approximately 3 weekend call shifts every 6 months
- Weekend call hours include Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm, or Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm
- Weeknight call is assigned; weekend call is self-scheduled. 1 hour response time for call shifts
- 1 scheduled holiday per year
- A fast-paced department cares for a variety of surgical specialties varying in age from pediatric to geriatric
- Pre-op primary responsibilities include assessing and preparing the patient for surgery, providing education, and preparing for discharge home
- RN license to work in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS for healthcare providers
- Minimum 2 year RN experience
- Strong team with a lot of experienced staff
- Departmental leadership support including Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor and Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator)
- Starting pay of $38.96/hr and up, based on your years of experience, as well as generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials
