Location: East Building – 1st Floor, La Crosse, WI
Schedule: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two weeks)
Typical Hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (7:30 a.m. start possible), Monday–Friday with rotating day off
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a key role in supporting three integral areas of the Center for Breast Care: the High‑Risk Breast Clinic, Breast Surgery Clinic, and Breast Imaging. This RN provides comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operative patient education, clinical support to breast surgeons and PAs, and performs breast imaging clinic RN duties. The role includes patient communication, clinical assistance, EPIC in‑basket management, and high‑risk patient follow-up.

What You Will Do
- Deliver pre‑ and post‑operative education to patients undergoing breast procedures.
- Support breast surgeons and clinicians with in-office procedures and wound care.
- Manage EPIC in‑basket messaging, MyChart communications, result follow-up, and documentation.
- Work High-Risk Clinic work queues, reach out to patients, and coordinate appointments.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, PAs, MAs, and breast cancer navigators.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinic interactions including radiation oncology and medical oncology.
- Starting pay of $30.46/hour (plus experience-based increases)

What You Will Need
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current Infant–Adult Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross, hands-on).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- 6 months of nursing experience.
- Experience in:
- Breast cancer or breast imaging clinics
- Pre/post‑operative care
- EPIC in‑basket and MyChart messaging
- Compassion and empathy for patients navigating breast health and cancer.
- Strong teamwork—especially coordinating cross‑coverage with nurse navigators.
- Excellent communication and follow‑through.
