Position Summary:
The Marketing Analyst position supports all efforts for report development, quality assurance, and analysis as it relates to Marketing, Promotions, Entertainment, Advertising, and Player Development. The position also supports business process improvement efforts including projects to enhance automation, quality, and efficiency. Working as a partner with various departments to ensure that Marketing spending is effective and meeting the goals of the organization.

In this Role:
- Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s Four Diamond Standards.
- Maintain a high level of personal integrity on and off duty.

- Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management.
- Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
- Key Point of contact for Marketing Management for report writing and analysis, including data validation.
- Reviews findings with and makes actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Assists Marketing Management in analyzing the effectiveness of programs and promotions by utilizing data mining, post forms, test and control, behavior change, ROI evaluation, and any other effective methodology.
- Responsible for both conceiving and writing necessary report documentation and also responsible for analyzing the report results in order to identify trends and relevant artifacts associated with the data.
- Examines and evaluates the purpose and content of business reports to develop new, or improve existing format, use, and control.
- Recommends the establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
- Builds reporting solutions based on both existing and new requirements, analyzing, and improving upon the performance of existing SQL queries.
- Works with Marketing to manage database integrity, accuracy, and hygiene.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly operational and marketing reports.
- Performs analytical requests and research projects for internal parties. Special projects as assigned by management.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field required or 4 years of direct relatable professional experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Strong Excel/PowerPoint knowledge.
- Highly skilled in SQL Server writing, debugging, and code modification required as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries, views, store procedures, and functions and then utilize those in report development.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and strategic skills working with large data sets specific to casino data.
- Demonstrated ability to research and report on problems and solutions with a fine attention to detail. Ability to understand sophisticated mathematical models and concepts.
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Communicate effectively across multiple departments.
- Demonstrates integrity and exercises discretion in handling confidential information.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred.
- Prior experience in a gaming environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
- Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
- Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. However, work may be conducted in the casino, which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
