About the role:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Gumption, you’ll be a key driver of our growth. This is a front-line role focused on generating qualified opportunities for our sales team by engaging prospective clients and showcasing the value of our platform. You’ll connect with professionals across the CRE landscape, like property owners, brokers, fund managers, and family offices, making outbound calls, qualifying leads, and teeing up high-value meetings. This is an ideal role for someone who is enthusiastic, coachable, and eager to grow within a high-performance sales environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Outbound Prospecting: You’ll be reaching out to potential clients via calls, emails, and social media to introduce them to our platform and set meetings for the sales team.
- Qualify Opportunities: Understand each prospect’s needs and challenges to determine if Gumption’s solutions are a fit.
- CRM Management: Help keep the sales pipeline organized, stay on top of leads, and assist in growing our client base.
- Product Expertise: Build a strong grasp of Gumption’s platform and the CRE financing landscape to confidently speak with industry professionals.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with both marketing and sales to align on campaigns, messaging, and outreach strategies.
What we’re looking for:
- Experienced: You’ve spent 1-2 years in a sales development or similar role, ideally in real estate, fintech, or SaaS.
- Outgoing personality: You love talking to people, building rapport, and aren’t afraid to pick up the phone or send a message to start a conversation.
- Drive to learn: You’re eager to pick up new skills, dive into sales, and grow your knowledge of the CRE industry.
- Organized & Efficient: You can manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and tasks by leveraging technology.
- Strong communicator: You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable reaching out to people and talking about what we do.
- Self-starter: This is a base commission role, so you’ll need to stay motivated and be proactive in your outreach.
- Positive attitude: You’re excited about learning and working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
