Role Description
Gullwing Growth Partners is seeking a Managing Director to play a leadership role across the firm's investing, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives.
The Managing Director will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments across consumer and technology sectors. This includes developing investment theses, building proprietary deal pipelines, leading due diligence efforts, structuring transactions, and driving investment committee recommendations.
Beyond transaction execution, the Managing Director will work closely with founders and management teams to identify opportunities for growth, improve operational performance, refine go-to-market strategies, and support capital formation initiatives. The role requires a hands-on approach to value creation and a genuine interest in helping businesses scale.
The Managing Director will also oversee portfolio company performance, establish value-creation plans, monitor key operating and financial metrics, and help guide strategic decisions throughout the investment lifecycle.
As a senior leader within the firm, the Managing Director will contribute to fundraising efforts, investor communications, strategic partnerships, and firm-wide planning initiatives. The role will also involve mentoring junior investment professionals and representing Gullwing Growth Partners across the broader investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, investment banking, or related investing disciplines.
- Demonstrated track record sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing private investments.
- Strong financial, analytical, and strategic capabilities, including financial modeling, valuation, market assessment, and investment underwriting.
- Experience working with high-growth consumer and/or technology companies, either as an investor, operator, or advisor.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with founders, executives, co-investors, and strategic partners.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to identify value-creation opportunities beyond the initial investment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is valued but not required.
- High integrity, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Preferred Background
