We are seeking an experienced bookkeeping professional who understands that clean financial records are the foundation for effective tax advisory and strategic financial guidance.
The Opportunity
This role supports the firm’s Accounting & Advisory and Tax Advisory teams by ensuring that client financial data is accurate, organized, and ready for strategic analysis.
You will:
- Maintain client accounting records using QuickBooks and other accounting software our clients might use.
- Perform monthly reconciliations including: bank accounts, credit cards, loans, payroll accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Assist the advisory team in preparing clean financial data used for tax planning and advisory discussions
- Identify discrepancies or process issues and resolve them efficiently
- Maintain organized documentation and accounting records consistent with firm standards
- Work with multiple clients while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- This role plays an important part in ensuring our advisory team can deliver high quality planning and guidance to business owners.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience performing monthly close and reconciliations
- Ability to manage accounting for multiple businesses simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Comfort communicating with clients when additional information is required
- Experience working in a CPA firm or accounting firm is strongly preferred
