Staff Accountant
This is an in-office position in need of local applicants.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant must have the ability and knowledge to meet monthly accounting deadlines, complete analysis, research variance discrepancies, and make journal entries for select Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts, in addition to understanding accruals and annual budgeting. Includes other analysis and reports as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monthly Branch Operating Statements
Operating accounts analyzed, and notes prepared monthly
Actual to Budget Variance Analysis
Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analysis
Journal entries to record Company’s activity
Expense accruals, branch allocations and year-end adjustments
Review for Annual Audit
Bank Reconciliations
Reports and projects as needed
Assist branches with questions
Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Well organized person with strong analytical, administrative, and good interpersonal skills. A person who is very dependable, and who can work independently.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in accounting
A minimum of two (2) years General Accounting experience
Excel experience is extremely helpful
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows Explorer, and Internet Browser skills
Knowledge of Eclipse, BisTrack/Great Plains and Agility is helpful
A high-level of speed and accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task
Able to organize and prioritize workloads
Able to work in a team environment
