Saw Catcher Role Description: This role will be responsible for stacking and marking truss components as they come out of the saw. The wood truss components will be stacked in a specified manner and order, usually on rolling carts that will be sent out to the production floor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Mark cut pieces of wood as they exit the saw, either with printed labels or manually labeling with specified job information.  Keep work area neat, clean, free from any possible hazards or debris.  Assist table personnel in finding components or re-cutting materials as necessary.  Always adhere to company safety procedures, wearing required PPE while in plant area.  Operate in all facets with a high degree of customer service and attentiveness to other truss team members.  Work in open warehouse atmosphere with conditions similar to outdoors.  Any other tasks or projects as assigned by management Skills Needed:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.  Good customer service skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear.
