What You'll Do
- Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment on roadway and electrical construction projects.
- Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Drive company vehicles and equipment to and from job sites.
- Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards.
- Load, unload, transport, and secure materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support traffic control operations, including flagging when required.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment.
- Assist field crews with installation, construction, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain required PPE, tools, and safety equipment.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training programs.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age of 21 to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to safely operate a bucket truck, aerial lift, or demonstrate similar construction equipment experience.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and frequent drug screenings (to include marijuana).
- Experience in traffic signal, roadway lighting, electrical, telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure construction.
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, forklifts, or telehandlers.
- Traffic control and flagging experience.
- CDL Class A or Class B is a strong plus and highly valued, but not required.
- Candidates with a CDL may have opportunities for additional responsibilities and equipment operation.
