ABOUT US:
Jack B Harper Contractor, LLC (JHC) was originally a division of Gulf Industries, which started in 1963 in Louisiana and split off as its own entity in 2009. Since its inception, JHC has grown into three operational locations that provide services across eight different states. JHC installs and maintains both temporary and permanent impact attenuators, also known as crash cushions, throughout the southeast with a response time as low as 24 hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs installation and repair of temporary and permanent crash cushions.
- Responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks, delivery and pickup of equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for the completion of all attenuator service requests as assigned.
- Must be able to perform all safety sensitive activities as required by the company.
- Ability to occasionally work out of town as job requires.
- Able to set up and operate hammer drill, grinder, impact wrenches, and/or other tools necessary to complete tasks.
- Complete all required paperwork to include, but not limited to, accident reports, payroll time sheets, and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor as determined.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Assure safety standards and environmental requirements are used to comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Follow established company policies.
- Have the ability to work in confined/limited work zones exposed to motoring traffic up to and including high rates of speed.
- Have the ability to work in designated work zones which may consist of exposure to harsh weather elements such as, but not limited to, extreme heat and cold for extended periods of time.
- Hazard work zone includes nighttime work utilizing company’s external lighting.
- This position requires considerable amount of driving, as well as frequent safe exiting and entering the highway traffic pattern.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
- Any other duties assigned as needed.
