Electronic Banking Coordinator

Summary/Objective 

The Electronic Banking Coordinator is responsible for accounting duties necessary to record credit union transactions and maintain accounting records.  

Essential Job Duties

1. Import, review, and process ITM/ATM check files into the core system for cash letter processing multiple times daily, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
2. Perform daily reconciliation of all ITM and ATM transactions by balancing virtual teller vaults to network totals. Generate and review reports from third-party platforms, reconcile core system totals, and input daily network totals for each terminal.
3. Conduct weekly reconciliation of individual ITM and ATM terminals by balancing network totals to actual cash on hand. Review and reconcile cash replenishment reports from armored carrier services using a three-way matching process and maintain accurate reconciliation of cash vault balances following replenishments.
4. Investigate and resolve member disputes, transaction exceptions, and terminal discrepancies. Process required adjustments, administer provisional credits in accordance with regulations and policies, monitor outstanding credits, and determine final resolutions once balancing has been completed.
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with retention policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. Prepare and distribute monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and terminal activity statistics.
6. Support Accounting Department operations by assisting with wire transfer and ACH origination requests. Perform OFAC screenings for financial institutions and non-members, verify account information, submit wire transfer requests through the Federal Reserve system, and enter ACH originations into the core system while ensuring data accuracy.
7. Participate in rotating accounting responsibilities, including daily institutional balancing and reconciliation reports generated from the core system. Complete assigned month-end balancing and reporting functions within established deadlines.
8. Serve as a backup for other accounting functions and assist with the implementation, reconciliation, and ongoing support of new third-party programs and operational processes as needed.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED or knowledge of general accounting/bookkeeping and clerical functions usually obtained by education, specialized training and/or on-the-job training

1-2 years of related experience required
