Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Responsible for supporting the safe execution of Cold Outfitting (COTF) work in accordance with the company's overall safety goals, objectives and policies
  2. Develop and maintain detailed shop floor work packages and production schedules for Cold Outfitting activities and other assigned outfitting work
  3. Organize the flow of drawings, work instructions, material requirements, inspection requirements, vendor information, and other production information necessary to execute Cold Outfitting work packages
  4. Sequence daily and weekly production work assignments in coordination with the Cold Outfitting Manager, production supervisors, Project Planner, and NB Production Planning
  5. Coordinate the sequence of Cold Outfitting work with Electrical, HVAC, Machinery, Interior, Deck Outfitting, Hull Assembly, Blast/Paint, and other production groups to minimize trade congestion, access conflicts, and interference
  6. Track production progress against the shop floor schedule and flag schedule variances, incomplete predecessor work, and emerging delays to the Cold Outfitting Manager
  7. Coordinate material, equipment, tooling, access, temporary services, and manpower availability against the shop floor plan before scheduled work is released to production
  8. Support material tracking, kitting, staging, preservation, and expediting for Cold Outfitting production needs in coordination with Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, and Material Control
  9. Verify work-package readiness by confirming current drawings, required material, vendor information, predecessor completion, access, inspection points, and production resources are available before planned start dates
  10. Identify and communicate schedule risks, resource conflicts, space conflicts, engineering constraints, material shortages, and other conditions that may prevent planned work from being executed
  11. Maintain a rolling daily and weekly look-ahead plan for Cold Outfitting and coordinate constraint removal with responsible production and support organizations
  12. Maintain accurate shop floor planning records, work-package status, production progress, completion quantities, and production status reporting
  13. Coordinate with Production Engineering on construction drawings, work instructions, engineering queries, revisions, and technical information required to support Cold Outfitting production
  14. Coordinate with the Project Planner and other Shop Floor Planners on shared resources, interfaces, predecessor and successor activities, system priorities, and project-wide sequencing
  15. Support the Cold Outfitting Manager in planning block, compartment, zone, and system completion activities and in establishing priorities required to support testing and commissioning
  16. Coordinate required inspection and test points with Quality personnel and production supervision so inspection requirements are incorporated into the planned work sequence
  17. Support testing, commissioning, punch-list closeout, and final system turnover planning by maintaining visibility of incomplete Cold Outfitting work and required completion dates
  18. Participate in regular shop floor status, coordination, planning, and safety meetings and communicate current production priorities and constraints to affected stakeholders
  19. Capture planning and production lessons learned and support continuous improvement of Cold Outfitting work-package development, sequencing, material flow, and shop floor planning practices
  20. Ensure compliance with Gulf Copper Mission Statement and Quality Management System

Required Education & Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in planning, industrial technology, marine technology, or related field preferred
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in shipyard or industrial production planning/scheduling, preferably supporting marine outfitting or multidiscipline construction
  3. Familiarity with shipboard outfitting sequence, including piping, machinery, electrical, HVAC/ducting, equipment installation, and system completion preferred
  4. Experience reading shipbuilding drawings, work packages, material lists, production schedules, and related technical information preferred

Working Conditions:

  1. Regular work time indoors in an environmentally controlled office setting, combined with regular and extensive time on the production floor and aboard vessels exposed to shipyard conditions including weather, noise, confined work areas, and heavy equipment operation

Necessary Equipment Operation:

  1. Computer systems and standard office/scheduling software
  2. Shipyard production management, planning, material tracking, and document management systems
  3. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required when on the production floor and aboard vessels
