Gulf Coast Treatment Center is currently hiring for the Actictities Coordinator position must work every Saturday out the month! The Activities Coordinator is responsible for the provision of Therapeutic Recreation to the adjudicated youth population. The Activities Coordinator maintains a facility wide schedule for recreational activities that promote life and social skills and sportsmanship, review individual or group activites as well as community outing trips. Assist in orienting the youth to the value of an appropriate life style, as well as educating him/ her as to leisure resources in his/her own community. Assess youth’s recreational needs through interview and recreation questionnaire. Development and delivery of recreational programming. Be able to maintain the recreational program developed through the supervision of its delivery. Establish treatment goals and objectives to meet the individual and/or group needs of the youth population. Instructs youth on proper use of equipment and supplies used in recreational activities. Attend treatment team conferences to exchange information and observations with other members of the team, as well as assisting in planning goals and objectives for each youth. Prepares requests for supplies and equipment along with relevant work orders and submits to the Clinical Director.

• Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Social Work or related degree in Social Science
